Previous Creative Output - The Synthetic Painting Series
The synthetic painting series explores the "new nude". It is the nude revisited for our time which hybrids
the organic and the technological. Here the materiality of the body meets the virtuality of digital
representations and creates “the synthetic nude”. The thesis of canvas and paint converges with the
antithesis of digital printing. Human and machine work together. Appropriated photographs are
transformed with programs to numerical representation, printed on canvas then painted in an attempt
to find the original image...through the algorithmic filters.
